Club History and Charter

The Corvettes of Buffalo, Inc. was formed in 1981 in Buffalo, NY. The original fifteen Members formed the Club invited eleven other Corvette enthusiasts to join, for a grand total of twenty-six charter members.  All members are volunteers including Officers and Board Members.

Over the years the club has successfully added to the membership by following the original founding principles, establishment of our Chartered By-Laws and together having fun as a social, technical and community oriented organization.  Our common bond is our enjoyment and passion for America’s original sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette!

Membership interests range from cruising, car shows, corvette caravans, Track/drag racing and traveling to regional and national car events. Members also enjoy our mystery cruises, annual picnic, and technical activities that are planned year-round during our monthly meetings The Corvettes of Buffalo members enjoy participating in Club activities together.

Corvettes of Buffalo is a member of the National Corvette Museum. We are proud to support their mission to celebrate the Corvette's invention and preserve the legendary automobiles past, present, and future. The Museum a 501(c)(3) organization serves as an educational and research model for all of us to enjoy.

The Corvettes of Buffalo has been a proud member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs, Inc.  (NCCC), since 1981.  We invite any and all members of clubs affiliated with the NCCC to join our club activities if you are in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area!

NCCC provides the club with many benefits along with insurance coverage to protect our members and our organization while attending club sponsored events.  NCCC is a registered “non-profit 501-c3” organization.

The Corvettes of Buffalo, Inc. is a “Not-for Profit 501-c7” organization that does have annual expenses such as the costs of benefits from NCCC along with our meeting location fees and other administrative costs. Annually, many of our members volunteer to develop car activities or events that are fundraisers to help offset our club expenses with our surplus funds providing us money for charity contributions to local organizations.

The Club also seeks to partner with local Companies that provide sponsorships and advertising in our Newsletter, Website, Flyers, signage and event publications.
